Pakistan Strengthening Tourism Ties with China: Pakistan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on tourism with Chinese tourism associations and forged partnership with travel agencies to promote tourism in Pakistan.
Tourism contributes between 6-7 % of GDP in Pakistan and provides a little about two million jobs, according to a 2020 report by the Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI).

However, the COVID-19 pandemic has dealt a heavy blow to the tourism sector in Pakistan and the rest of the world, according to China Economic Net (CEN).
Summit in Beijing
Ambassador to China Moin-ul-Haq has formed a special task force in the embassy to rev up Pakistan’s tourism sector. Addressing a summit in Beijing, Pakistan’s Ambassador said Pakistan is also launching a Chinese language website called Discover Batie (Discover Pakistan) to popularize Pakistan’s rich repertoire of culture and tourism resources across China.
This partnership will open new doors of economic stability and prosperity in Pakistan.
