Pakistan’s steel bar prices have surged to an all-time high of PKR 288,500 per ton, a rise of PKR 12,000, as a result of a lack of raw materials and unfavorable economic conditions.
The high cost of construction materials, particularly steel bars, has forced developers to suspend their projects, leading to substantial financial losses and widespread unemployment in the construction sector.
