PM Imran Khan at ICCI Property, Housing and Construction Expo 2021

PM Imran Khan at ICCI Property, Housing and Construction Expo 2021, report: Prime Minister Imran Khan kicked off the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s (ICCI) Property, Housing and Construction Expo 2021. While addressing he assured the government’s complete support to the construction sector and also put emphasis on tax payment.

The event was attended by Minister of State for Information Farrukh Habib, Special Assistant to PM Dr. Shahbaz Gill, Chairman Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority Lt Gen (R) Anwar Ali Haider, and President Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sardar Yasir Ilyas.

The expo featured the pavilions of the commercial banks, Board of Investment, State Bank of Pakistan, companies, and businesses related to the construction industry, including real estate developers, marketing firms, cement, marble, tiles, electronics, cable, and many others.

Construction boom

According to Prime Minister Imran, a “construction boom” was coming to the country due to the great demand by the 220 million people for low-cost housing. PM added that the construction boom is bringing wealth and prosperity through a number of job opportunities because it had numerous industries attached to it.

He urged on the use of raw material for construction produced in Pakistan to stabilize the economy of the country by saying that “all raw material is available in Pakistan.”
